Ballet Educator
Bloom School of Music and Dance is looking for Dance Educators!

We seek out Dance Educators that are professionally trained and experienced in teaching students of all ages and abilities. Job Duties:
- Teach weekly ballet dance classes that engage body and mind in a safe, supportive environment
- Maintain consistency in class curriculum and management based on age appropriate learning and department standards
- Attend regular staff meetings and engage in mandatory department training
- Participate in departmental and cross-departmental collaborations
- Complete student assessments and advancement recommendations
- Choreograph pieces and prepare students for performances
- Participate in the execution of student performances

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience teaching children between the ages of 3 and 17
- Understanding of dance pedagogy and how to scaffold concepts and goals
- Access to reliable transportation
- Must pass background fingerprint clearance
- Excellent time management skills
- High school or equivalent
- Ability to teach the following styles of dance to an advanced level:
- Creative Dance (ages 3-5)
- Ballet (ages 4-17)
- Pre-Pointe (ages 11-17)
- Pointe (ages 12-17)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills (in person, phone, email)
- Technology Friendly (video content creation, google suite apps, music editing etc.)
- Collaborative and community-minded team player
- Developmental or ECE training or experience
- Ability to teach or converse in a second language
- Post Secondary dance or education degree
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
